Obituary

Michael D. Moravec, age 52, of Moorhead, MN, and formerly of Faribault, MN passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 3, 2022.

Michael David was born on July 27, 1969, in Faribault, MN, to David and Rosemary (Savoie) Moravec.  He graduated from Faribault High School in 1988 and the Berkley College of Music in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in music.  Mike worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Faribault for 10 years.  Mike had a great passion for music and enjoyed teaching the guitar at Eastman Music in Faribault.

He is survived by his parents, Rose and Dave Moravec of Faribault; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault, with Fr. Henry Doyle, officiating.  Interment will be at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Monday for one hour prior to the services.
