Francis C. “Butch” Ford, age 64 of Faribault, MN passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN following an extended illness.
Francis Charles, the son of Robert and Phyllis (Blackmer) Ford, was born on June 16, 1957 in Faribault. He attended Bethlehem Academy High School and graduated with the class of 1975. On January 2, 1993 he was united in marriage to Cindy Schorn at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault. Butch started his plumbing career with Faribo Plumbing & Heating and then moved to Quality Plumbing & Heating before starting his own plumbing business, Ford’s Plumbing & Heating.
He is survived by his wife Cindy; children, Bob (Jayne) Ford and their children, Vayda and Axel, and Shara (Chris) Schmidt and their children, Graham and Beckham; by his parents, Bob and Phyllis Ford; by his siblings, Dawn (Randy) Christensen, Michelle (Mark) Evans, Mike (Mary) Ford, Tim Ford, Pat Ford and Jenny (Jason) Goodwin; by his sister and brother-in-law’s, Betty Jo Schorn, Pat (Sandy) Schorn, Jeanne (Joe) Marquardt, Dan (Annette) Schorn, Sharon (Mike) Bomstad and Lisa (Jeff) Thelen and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Francis and Rena Ford and Charles and Margaret Blackmer and by his father and mother-in-law, Jake and Mary Lou Schorn.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.
